Read guideMost hikers do not wear dedicated snake boots. Trail habits matter most: stay on the trail, watch where you step and sit, and never reach where you cannot see. If you hike through tall grass or brush where venomous snakes live, added leg protection is a personal choice.
Not unless the manufacturer says they were designed and tested for it. Ordinary hiking boots end at the collar and are not marketed as snake protection.
